Elliot Townsend
Senior Director of Field PLM
Biography
Elliot has worked across customer, partner, and vendor environments, starting out as a change control engineer and then operations, moving into DevOps, then into lead architecture roles before stepping into Sales Engineering and Leadership. Along the way, he has led teams in the UK and across EMEA with a consistent focus on enterprise networking, cloud, and security, supporting large scale transformations across modern enterprise infrastructure.
He has spent many years working deeply with AI and ML, evolving from early technical implementation into a broader understanding of how these capabilities reshape operating models, decision making, and organisational design. His focus is on how these capabilities progress in enterprises, where value is created as much by process, ownership, and governance as by the models themselves.
Today Elliot leads a global Field PLM team at HPE across EMEA and LATAM, working closely with CIOs and Executives to turn strategy into something that can be delivered. His focus remains on practical outcomes, strong architecture, and execution that works in production, not just in design.
